Ftir Analysis On Tci And Ac=O/Aoh Of Dc Air Plasma, Citric Acid And Tetradecanoic Acid Treated Cotton Cellulose
Main Article Content
Abstract
Cotton fabric was treated with DC air plasma, citric acid and neem oil vapour to produce efficient antimicrobial fabric that is wash durable. This work deals with a detailed study on the structural changes in the cotton cellulose due to the air plasma, citric acid and neem oil vapour by analyzing the changes in the ATR-FTIR spectrum of the sample after each treatment. It was identified through the spectral analysis that the oxidation of cellulose due to air plasma treatment, thereby increasing accessible OH sites and –I effect due to citric acid treatment were responsible for the two properties respectively
