Abstract

Objective: Assessment of the effect of acute sever Co poisoning on the intellectual function in
children.
Methods: We prospectively studied cases with acute sever Co toxicity to assess the effect of Co
toxicity on the intellectual function in children at the time of discharge, after 6 months and after
one year of toxicity.
Results: The current study showed that there was a reduction in intellectual functions of acute
severely intoxicated children.
Conclusion: acute sever Co intoxication has a delayed effect on intellectual scores of the
evaluated intoxicated children.
