Abstract
The world capitalist economy is in midst of its most serious crisis in its five-hundred-year history. Over the last
five decades, world capitalist societies have witnessed remarkable restructuring as a result of globalisation. We
must consider both the dynamics of the current global capitalism and the nature of its crisis if we are to analyse
its effect on societies. The proposed research intends to explore conventional societies in implosion through a
literary study. Putting focus on conventional societies, the study intends to explore those societies which had
organically attained an order through the course of history. These societies adhere to its own social, ethical,
political and moral values, which restrict them from expanding itself alongside with capitalist and modern
developments. This conformity further leads social structures to remain within the historic framework but also
to step into an immature developmental process leading to an instability. Study would focus on societies that are
crumbling from within due to its own contradictions, interstitial gaps, and incongruencies.
