Abstract

Back ground: Natural origin alternatives to the synthetic drugs have been found to be beneficial in curing human lungs and liver ailments. The aim of the present study designed to evaluate in vivo Anticancer effects of Cow urine distillate with Plectranthus Amboinicus (CPA), on the hematological implications, using CCL4  induced Wister albino rats  model.

Methods: The indigenous cow, Bos indicus urine was distilled and characterized to know the latent compounds present in CUD, enhanced with Plectranthus Amboinicus, and its functional groups by employing HPLC and FTIR techniques. Further,  In vivo anti-cancer activity was determined against HCC by evaluating HCC induced rats life span, hematological profile, such as RBC, WBC, Hb content, neutrophils, eosinophils and pellets.

Results: Cow urine with Plectranthus Amboinicus treatment significantly reduced viable cancer cell count, increased the life span of HCC inducing rats. Hematological profile retrieved to normal position in Cow urine distillate treated groups when compared with normal rat groups.  All keeping in mind study suggested that cow urine may have potent anti-cancer capabilities is warranted.

Conclusions: In vivo examination, on the potential of anti cancer, paves a way for continuing, the further research ,on its unique features latent in the Scientific arena.
