Abstract
Background:Surveillance is critical for improving population health. Public health surveillance systems generate information that drives action, and the data must be of sufficient quality and with a resolution and timeliness that matches objectives.Materials and Methods: descriptive, A cross-sectional study A total of 50 health workers from all 48 health institutions were interviewed in Main primary health care centers in Diyala provincethat apply the AFP surveillance. Data were collected from January 14, 2021 to March 28, 2021.Results: This current study showed highest percentage (92.0%), for health worker must be sending weekly report (routine) if including zero reports about AFP cases, while (20.0%) lowest percentage from health worker regarding the person responsible for AFP surveillance activities adequately trainedConclusion:All most health workers knowledge about AFP surveillance system was good score.
