A Sin-Isan Pong Lang Ensemble Preparation Process Ethnography**

Abstract
The Sin-Isan Pong Lang Ensemble From Mahasarakham University College Of Music Won First Place In The First Pong Lang Ensemble King’s Cup Competition. Studying The Preparation Process Of This Ensemble Can Give Other Ensembles New Inspiration. Therefore, The Purpose Of This Article Is To Describe The Preparation Process Of The Ensemble, Including The Select Participants, Design Plans, And Rehearsal Strategies. The Research Method Is Observation And Interview. The Participants In The Case Study Were The Sin-Isan Pong Lang Ensemble Director And The Student Members Of The Ensemble. It Was Found That: 1) The Participants Were Selected By The Ensemble Director Among The Juniors, And The Assessment Requirement Was To Have Excellent Playing Skills And Rich Performance Experience. 2) The Design Plan Mainly Displays The Traditional Culture Of Northeastern Thailand, Including The Baisi Ceremony, Traditional Vocal Music Lae And Saraphan, Songkran Festival, To Arouse The Judges And Audience's Nostalgic Emotional Experience To Achieve The Effect Of Resonance. 3) Thorough Observations And Interviews, Peer Tutoring, And Continuous Rehearsals Are Identified As The Most Significant Practices Associated With The Successful Performance Of Any Pong Lang Ensemble.
