Development of Vehicle Number Recognition and Retrieval System with Web Application

Abstract

Number of vehicles is increasing exponentially day by day. In order to track the vehicle with the vehicle number is almost impossible. To overcome this difficulty, we build a web application to extract the numbers of the vehicles, storing those data acquired in a database where we also have the database of the registration details of vehicles and retrieving those details whenever it is required using the same web application. By using this web application, the time required to track the vehicle will reduce from hours to seconds. Keeping record of those details can also be used for various purposes. The web application can also be used for various purposes that will reduce the manual entry and search of information. The powerful tools that we are using to build this application are open-source and they are also feature rich, more secure. This web application can be easily installed with the existing cameras that are already present and we don’t need to spend any amount of money for installing new hardware.
