Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of job involvement, self-efficacy and job satisfaction on the organizational commitment of family planning field workers in the BadanKependudukandanKeluargaBerencana (BKKBN) of West Java Province, Indonesia. The research was conducted using a survey method with a quantitative approach and path analysis techniques. The research sample was 301 family planning field officers using a simple random sampling technique. The data were obtained through a questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, it reveals that (1) job involvement has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment; (2) self-efficacy has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment, (3) job satisfaction has a positive direct effect on organizational commitment, (4) job involvement has a positive direct effect on job satisfaction and (5) self-efficacy has a positive direct effect on job satisfaction. Thus, job involvement, self-efficacy and job satisfaction have an important role in improving organizational commitment.
