Effectiveness of Online Module on Knowledge of Relaxation Techique Used in Bronchial Asthma among Staff Nurses Working in Selected Hospital of Pune City

Abstract
Introduction and objective:Relaxation technique is one of the important elements for stress management which decrease muscular tension, lowers pressure and slows the heart rate and respiratory rate among other health well-being. Hence the main aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of module on knowledge regarding relaxation technique used in bronchial asthma among medical department nurses.
Methodology:Pre experimental one group pretest and posttest research method was used for the study. 40 medical department nurses were selected using convenience sampling method and given questionnaire to assess their knowledge in pretest and posttest done after 1week of intervention.
Result:The mean score of knowledge in pretest was 12.85 and in pretest was 22.62 and the t-value was -77.2. The p value was very low which was0.00. This shows that the module is effective. Hence the null hypothesis is rejected.
Conclusion: The improvement found in posttest proved that the module is effective in improving the knowledge regarding relaxation technique used in bronchial asthma among medical department nurses.
