Abstract

Brain damage is one of the horrible conditions that cause death and permanent harm to the people involved. Brain injury victims gradually undergo physical and functional disabilities. The product of several mechanisms that affect the brain is brain injury. But the medicines meant to remedy it work in one or two mechanisms, essentially limiting them to the treatment of degeneration. Drugs derived from natural products are found in many ways to be effective in the treatment of stroke, also having less side effects. Cyclea peltata plant extracts have been investigated for antioxidant efficacy in this current research and the best one has been assessed for the prevention of brain injury to fluoride. The extracts also shown a dose-dependent neruoprotective function in the forced swim test and loco engine activity. The measurement of biochemical parameters has resulted in the determination of potential mechanisms for neuroprotection. It can be argued that the neruoprotective role of the extract may be attributed to the estimated antioxidant activity of the extract in the overall antioxidant activity and the prevention of lipid peroxidation in brain tissue.
