Role of magnesium Sulfate in Preterm labour- A prospective study

Abstract
Labour is a series of events that take place in the genital organs in an effort to expel the viable products of conception out of the uterus through the vagina into the outer world (DC Dutta, 9thEdition). A normal labour occurs between 37 to 42 completed weeks of pregnancy in which fetus presents by vertex, begins spontaneously and terminates naturally without artificial aid and without any complications. Sometimes it may occur prior to 37 weeks when it is called preterm labour.
