Caries Diagnostic Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry

Abstract

During the past few decades, changes have been observed not only in the prevalence of dental caries, also in the distribution patterns of the disease and the rate of progression of caries. These changes have implication on predicting the caries risk, diagnosis, and management of incipient lesions. New strategies were introduced to provide improved detection, risk assessment and diagnosis and to create improved method to arrest or reverse the non-cavitated lesion while improving the management of cavitated lesion
